Dr. Calabrese is a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). He is the Winner of AIChE’s NAMF (North American Mixing Forum) Award for Sustained Contributions to Mixing Research & Practice. He was elected to Tau Beta Pi as an eminent engineer and has been the Fulbright Senior Scholar & SERC Visiting Fellow at Univ. of Birmingham (UK).

Dr. Calabrese also served as a Visiting Scientist in Particle Science & Technology Group (PARSAT) at DuPont Experimental Station. He is the Past President, Vice President, Treasurer, National Program Chair and founding member of NAMF. MPC of 15th Biennial North American Mixing Conference and Subject Editor for Chem. Eng. Res. & Design (Trans. I. Chem. E.,UK).
