Dr. Lahneman coordinates Maryland’s National Intelligence Council Project, providing a liaison between the intelligence community, academia and other nongovernmental sources. He is a Commander, U.S. Navy (retired) and has served on a number of combatant ships.

Dr. Lahneman is also a consultant on maritime security issues.
