Development of natural language processing tools to support computerized systems for language understanding and translation;
Particular emphasis on tools allowing rapid ramp-up of computerized systems in “low density” languages (those where automatic tools are scarce);
Applications like machine translation, cross-language message routing and question answering.

Dr. Weinberg has published many papers and technical reports, e.g., co-authored “Breaking The Resource Bottleneck For Multilingual Parsing.”
