Institutional Review Board Meeting Dates for Full Board Reviews

For research that requires Full Board review, please submit initial or renewal applications or addenda with the required signatures and supporting documentation by the date listed below to: Institutional Review Board, Office of Research Enhancement and Compliance, Room 2100, Lee Building.  All other applications may be submitted at any time.  Full Board review is required for projects which involve more than minimal risk to the subjects or which, for some other reason, may require consideration at a convened meeting of the full IRB.  Please contact the IRB Manager if you have questions about whether your application requires full board review
 

Please also note that when more applications are received at the IRB Office than can be reviewed at a single meeting, consideration of some may have to be postponed until a later meeting. Generally, we schedule applications in the order that they were received. However, we also give priority to revisions of previously submitted applications and renewal requests. Persons submitting initial applications, particularly when they are associated with sponsored projects, should take this into account when deciding when to submit an application.

The IRB usually meets on the third or fourth Thursday of the month. The decision of the IRB is generally sent to the investigators by electronic mail within one week of the IRB meeting date
