AGCO National Student Design Competition	American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE)	05-01-2009	Cash awards of $1250, $1000, and $750 will be presented to the first, second and third place entries.	2	Contestants shall be Student Members of ASABE and undergraduates at the time their design projects are conducted. Candidates will be declared ineligible for the competition if more than 12 months have lapsed between the awarding of the degree and the ASABE Annual International Meeting at which the winner of the competition will be decided. Membership in a local Student Branch is not required and will not substitute for Student Membership in ASABE. Projects may be conceived and executed by multiple contestants. Psi Chi/J.P. Edward McClure Award for the Best Masters Student Paper	Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP)	05-01-2009	$100	1	Submissions may address any topic of investigation generated in the course of pursuing a masters degree in urban/city/community/town/regional planning. Papers should result from a one-term regular class; Master's theses, terminal professional reports and student group projects are not eligible. Submissions should have been prepared during academic year 2007-2008 or 2008-2009. Nominations (limited to one per program) must come from the Program chairperson or the faculty advisor; students are urged to ask the appropriate faculty members to nominate their papers. APA Student Travel Award	American Psychological Association (APA), Science Directorate	04-01-2009	$300	3	Applicants must be enrolled full time and be in good standing in a graduate program in psychology at a regionally accredited university or college located in the United States or Canada. Applicants must be student affiliates or associate members of the APA (graduate student affiliates are automatically members of APAGS). Students who are not affiliates must apply for affiliation when submitting materials for the Travel Award; however, all materials must be received by the Science Directorate in a single, complete package. Research papers or posters must already have been accepted by an APA division for presentation. Multiple author submissions are acceptable, but the student applicant must be the designated presenter of the research. If there are multiple student authors, only the first author may apply for these funds. If the student applicant has been accepted to present more than one paper or poster, she or he must choose only one paper or poster presentation to use when applying for this award. Student Travel Grants	American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS), ASHS Student Awards	03-04-2009	$750	one undergraduate abstract for every 50 undergraduate students enrolled and one graduate abstract for every 30 graduate students enrolled. Beinecke Brothers Memorial Scholarship Program	Sperry Fund	02-27-2009	$34,000	1	The applicant must be a college junior pursuing a bachelor's degree during the 2007-2008 academic year. "Junior" means a student who plans to continue full-time undergraduate study and who expects to receive a baccalaureate degree between December 2008 and August 2009. The applicant must also plan to enter a master's or doctoral program in the arts, humanities, or social sciences. Students in the social sciences who plan to pursue graduate study in neuroscience should not apply for a Beinecke Scholarship. All applicants must be United States citizens or U.S. nationals from American Samoa or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Students should have a documented history of receiving need-based financial aid during their undergraduate years. In the selection process, the amount of financial need will not be a major determining factor, nevertheless, preference is given to candidates for whom the awarding of a scholarship would increase the likelihood of the student's being able to attend graduate school.	02-06-2009	Apply	PI not selected

Students must be undergraduates at a U.S. university or college with a scientific major; have a GPA of 3.0, 4.0, or better (recommended); and intend to pursue a Ph.D. degree. Applicants must be undergraduates at a U.S. university or college with a technical major. Graduating seniors are also eligible to participate. A GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) or better is recommended. Students with physics, materials science, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, or engineering majors are encouraged to apply. There may be research opportunities for students with other majors. New applicants must be enrolled to continue their undergraduate education for fall 2008. Previous SURF NIST Boulder participants who will graduate in spring 2008 are also eligible. Predoctoral Fellowship Program for Summer Travel Abroad for Historians of American Art	National Gallery of Art, Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts (CASVA)	02-15-2009	$4,500	Each department may support only two candidates.	The Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts, a part of the National Gallery of Art, is offering fellowships to doctoral students in art history who study aspects of art and architecture of the United States before 1980, including native and pre-Revolutionary America. The travel fellowship is intended to encourage a breadth of experience beyond the candidate's major field, with preference accorded to those who have had little opportunity for professional travel abroad. The fellowship is not intended for advancement of a dissertation.
