Effective April 7, 2008, under Division G, Title II, Section 218 of PL 110-161, the National Institutes of Health Public Access Policy (NOT-OD-05-022) is now mandatory. Authors must deposit in NIH’s digital journal repository PubMedCentral (PMC) http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov , the final version of peer-reviewed manuscripts arising out of specific NIH-funded activities and/or NIH contracts and accepted for publication.
