The Office of the Vice President for Research, University of Maryland, College Park, seeks an energetic Graduate Assistant to join our dynamic staff.
Available: 2009 Fall Semester
Responsibilities: VPR supports the research community of UMCP. Responsibilities include web development of the VPR and the Office of Research Administration and Advancement (ORAA) websites: http://www.umresearch.umd.edu/
Qualifications:
- Office-related: People skills in this position are crucial. The successful candidate should be able to interact with the diverse constituency of the campus community, including faculty, staff, and upper-level administrators.
- Technical: Applicants should have expertise with website development/lifecycle. Must have advanced expertise with Oracle database management, HTML, PHP, Java, Javascript. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and ColdFusion are also recommended. Experience with XSL Stylesheets, Altova StyleVision or XMLSpy a plus.
Salary: This is a 12 month, 20 hour per week Administrative Assistantship, with compensation as defined in the Graduate Assistant/Fellow Handbook, available online at http://www.union.umd.edu/GH/
