Take
it to the Next Level: Moving from Single Investigator to Multi-Investigator
/ Multi-Disciplinary Centers
"Take it to the Next Level" is a half
day workshop that discusses various strategies behind successful centres
and institutes. UM Research Policies will be examined. Issues relating
to Corporate and State support will also be discussed.
HUMAN SUBJECTS RESEARCH
All personnel submitting NIH applications or
contract proposals, or receiving new or non-competing awards for research
involving human subjects, must be certified as having completed an
educational course or tutorial on the protection of human subjects
from research risks. To complete this requirement and qualify for
an NIH certification letter, please reference the procedures
as posted on the IRB website.

Faculty Orientation
Each year, at the end of August, an orientation
program for all new university faculty is held. The program is for
all new faculty (all ranks of professors, lecturers, research faculty,
extension agents, visiting faculty) who have begun at the university
in the past twelve months. Please visit the Office
