Corporate Initiative at the University of Maryland
In addition to raising awareness among faculty and potential sponsors
of the opportunities to collaborate with University personnel, this site
will provide information and guidance to accomplish the University’s
goals where there is no standard solution. Just as this website is a continuous
work in progress, so too is the development of the entrepreneurial environment.
This website introduces industry leaders to the expertise of research occurring at the University and defines the criteria under which a fruitful university-collaboration may occur. It also provides guidance to the faculty and staff of the University regarding the wide range of possible university-industry collaborations.
Process
of Collaboration at the University of Maryland
The University
of Maryland supports faculty members seeking to collaborate with industry
as well as members of industry seeking to collaborate with UM faculty
researchers. The process of establishing a collaborative relationship
is supported by, and involves, a number of different offices at the University
of Maryland.
